I have been having a problem connecting to one of three NAS boxes on my network. Bigger problem is it is inconsistent.
The NAS drives in question are Thecus N5500 (x2) and have been exceptionally stable devices. I also have an ASUS 6204T on the same network. There are three regular computers attached to the network, a Dell Studio, a PowerSpec 418 and an Asus G75VW laptop. All software/drivers/firmware are as up to date. All running Win 10.
The Dell and the G75 have no problem seeing/connecting to the NAS drives. The PowerSpec/Windows, every now and then tells me it cannot connect to one of the two Thecus boxes (same one every time) yet if I use the Thecus setup wizard I can connect and log into both boxes. Indeed I can see the icon for all drives/computers in the Network window, but when I double click on the one I will sometimes get the cannot connect/path unknown error. Trouble shooting does nothing other than say it cannot find the error. I have tried pretty much everything suggested here and elsewhere but the only solution seems to be rebooting. I want to stress here that both Thecus boxes have the same settings the only difference are the IP addresses and the MAC addresses. Any ideas?
Thanks
