Configuration manger server migration

We are planning to migrate the Configuration manger server.
At that time, the IP address will be changed. Does anyone know if it will affect the operation of the system?

Communication from the client is FQDN communication, so if the FQDN can be resolved, there is no problem.

Thank you for answering.
Are there any concerns about changing the IP address of the MECM server itself?

Hi,

There are no worries, as long as the DNS is updated.

Hi @rkppt-4902,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

The IP address change should be fine. ConfigMgr does not care what IP address it has. Just make sure the DNS is updated , there will be no problems.
But it is recommended to update the Boundaries and check if there is any Firewall rules are needed to adjust or add for the new IP address.

For more information about the Migration to Configuration Manager current branch, please refer to the following link:

Hope the above information can help you.
