SSRS 2017 web portal giving a 503 error

I am trying to update a report on a clients computer but I am having trouble accessing the web portal. The web service url works fine and successfully brings up the reports. When I try to access the web portal management url I am getting a 503 error. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi @SamJohnson-9351
Please attempt to verify that SQL Server Reporting Services is running
And try the following steps:

  • In Control Panel, select System and Security > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. The Computer Management window appears.

  • In the left pane, expand Local Users and Groups. Select Groups.

  • Under Group names, double-click the SQLServerReportServerUser group.

  • Add the SERVICE and NETWORK SERVICE user accounts to this group. When added, they appear as NT AUTHORITY\SERVICE and NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE.

  • Restart Reporting Services using the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

If the issue is not resolved, please provide more detailed error information.
Best Regards,
Joy
