Remove/Disable sleep mode for Intune device configuration profile

Hi guys,

I guess my issue started when I found out my WIN 10 device does not ask for password when I put it to sleep and wake it up again.

I was wondering if there is a way for us to set this setting to Always?

Or if there is a way for me to remove sleep option from my start menu so it looks like this?

In addition to this, I have tried to set up these policies so I can disable sleep mode all together.

But only one of those setting gets applied to the computer. And this has been set up for 3 hours now..

Please let me know if you have any other way around this, thank you so much for your contributions!

@ITRich Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For removing sleep option from your start menu, it is suggested to set "Sleep" to "Block" in Device restrictions > Start. This setting will hide the Sleep option in the power button in the start menu.

And if you don't want to enter password when wake up the device again, it is suggested to try to disable these settings "Require a password when a computer wakes". For more detailed information, please read the following article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-power#power-requirepasswordwhencomputerwakesonbattery

Hope the above information will help.

Thank you for your response. To clarify, I do want to require password everytime computer wakes up but even enabling those settings, it still did not work for me.

Hi! So I have found the settings “Allow users to select when a password is required when resuming from connected standby” that would trigger the computer to ask for password every time computer wakes up from sleep. I tested it on a local group policy to make sure it works. But when I try to apply it to intune policy, it says not applicable?

Do you have any idea?

@ITRich Thanks for your update.

For the "Not applicable" status, it's a normal situation. Currently, this setting is available in the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build. It is not yet available in the Windows official version. We can refer to the following article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-admx-credentialproviders#admx_credentialproviders-policies

Thanks for understanding. : )

As I also did run into the same problem as you and did test many of the settings over the last days: The only setting you have to push via Intune is "Allow users to select when a password is required..." - and you have to set it to "Disabled".
