Migrating MacBook files to SharePoint Online Incl Created date.

Hi,

Is there anyway to migrate local macbook files to SharePoint online, that also copies the created date over? I have tried workarounds using OneDrive but the end results on SharePoint, the created date does not copy over.

If there isn't, is there a way that we can automate so the file name includes the date created in when it gets migrated over?

Both ShareGate and the SharePoint migration tool are not supported on Macs.

Thanks.

Hi @JYSharePoint-6681 ,

I'm afraid there may be no way to migrate files on Macs to SharePoint Online with created date except using a 3rd party tool which is supported on Macs. Or if the amount of files is not large, you can also consider migrating the files to SharePoint first, and then manually modify the Created date field.
