disconnect M365 group from a SharePoint site

Hello,

A Team site was created using the M365 Group connected Team site. The client does not want to have a M365 group connected to this site. They have done some work on this. Is there a way to disconnect/remove the M365 group from this site? Basically, convert this to a non M365 group connected site? I don't see any option in the SharePoint Admin center. I'm wondering if this can be achieved via PowerShell?

Please advise.

Thank you!

Per my knowledge, there are no options including PowerShell to disconnect a Microsoft 365 group from site collection. It's by design.

Is there still no way to disconnect an O365 group from a SharePoint site? I'm guessing it would just need to be deleted and recreated?
