@VinodSurvase-1595,

What do you mean the read only mode?

If it is for the files in SharePoint, as team owner, you can follow the steps to manage members’ read only access to the files saved in SharePoint Online site as below:

  1. In Teams, open Files tab of certain channel in your team.

  2. In Files tab, click Open in SharePoint button.

  3. In SharePoint, choose files > click three dots > Manage access > next to members, choose Can view.

Actually we want to put teams on read only mode so that users should not make any changes in those files and docs that's the reason.

I hope you get that

@VinodSurvase-1595,

If so, as I replied in your another thread, you can follow the steps as below:

Click the Gear icon at the bottom of the page > then click three dots next to the team which you want to archive > choose Archive team.

On the pop-up window, check the box of Make the SharePoint site read-only for teams members > click Archive button.
