Roadmap for Azure Communication Services JS SDK Browser Support for Firefox?

Recently tried out Azure Communication Services and found that the supported platforms are quite limited.

For example, Firefox is not supported on desktop (not listed, but code shows error at runtime in the console that the browser is no a supported browser).

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/communication-services/concepts/voice-video-calling/calling-sdk-features#javascript-calling-sdk-support-by-os-and-browser

Is there a roadmap available for Azure Communication Services?

I've also used AWS Chime which seems to have much broader browser support (https://aws.amazon.com/chime/chime-sdk/faq/) and would like to see if Microsoft has plans to broaden browser/platform support for Azure Communication Services.

@CharlesChen-6211, I have received an update from our product engineering team. Our team is actively working on Firefox browser support, and we are targeting to support this early next year.
Once the Firefox browser support is enabled the doc would also be updated appropriately.

Thanks for your patience! Your feedback is important to us. Kindly be assured I have shared your feedback with our product team internally.

Hi @ajkuma-MSFT ,

6 months later, do you have any news on an expected date for Firefox support?
Will it be in the first half of 2022 or rather in the second half of 2022 ?

Best regards

Apologies for the delay! While I'm awaiting for an update on this from our team.

As mentioned in this doc - " [Firefox Only] media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only needs to be enabled. In your browser search bar type about:config. Click Accept the Risk and Continue. Search for media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only and change its value to true. "

Kindly do share more details about your requirement/scenario.

Any news on this? I've checked the solution with the media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only property, but this doesn't seem to work for the Azure Communication Calling API.

Sam-2423, and AdrianEgloff-2215,

Apologies for the delay! I have received an update from the product engineering team. Firefox is currently not supported, it’s on the roadmap but we do not have an ETA to share on this yet.

You may also post this on UserVoice -- All of the feedback you share in these forums will be monitored and reviewed by the Microsoft engineering teams responsible for building Azure. Also, users with a similar request, can up-vote you post and add their comments.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation!
