We would like to understand what means the zone redundacy for West Europe

Hello,
We would like to invest more on DRC and business continuity for one of our customers, but we do not have visibility of what does it mean using zone redundancy, considering the our main location is West Europe.
In case we would choose the zone redundancy, where is the second location choose? How can we get more information over such topic.
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Serban Popa

Hello @SerbanPopa-6343 - Thank you for your post!

If you are using Azure backup for BCDR and looking for zone redundancy for West Europe, here is the note you need to look at - Currently this feature is available in UK south (UKS and South East Asia (SEA). Doc ref: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/preview-of-zonal-redundant-storage-for-backup-data-from-azure-backup/

If you are using Azure Site Recovery as BCDR solution, you can leverage Availability Zones for Disaster Recovery in some scenarios:

You can find more details in this doc - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/azure-to-azure-how-to-enable-zone-to-zone-disaster-recovery#using-availability-zones-for-disaster-recovery

Hope this helps!
