Content Distribution

Hi,

If I remove a package content from the Distribution Point, then if it is added to Distribution Point Group whether removed package contents distributed to the Distribution Point again?

If Yes, How to stop the package contents being distributed again to the DP?

Please let me know

Hi @BoopathiSubramaniam-6294

Yes. If the distribution point is in distribution point group, the removed package content will be re-distributed to the distribution point. Here is the explanation from Microsoft:

When you distribute content to a distribution point group, Configuration Manager distributes the content to all distribution points that are members of the group.

If you add a distribution point to the group after an initial content distribution, Configuration Manager automatically distributes the content to the new distribution point member.

If we want to stop it, we could remove permanently removed the distribution point from distribution point group.
