Issue with installing KB3061064 on SFB 2015 running on Windows Server 2016

Hi Guys,

We are running SFB 2015 on Server 2016 for our setup and are encountering issues KB3061064 which is released in Aug 2021. Out of the required updates from KB3061064, we managed to complete the installation for most components except for KB5005361 on SFB.

The installation failed with the error "Property DefaultSchema is not available for Database '[rtc]'. This property may not exist for this object, or may not be retrievable due to insufficient access rights" and our SFB Front End service is not able to successfully start up after that.

Can anyone advise on resolving our issues?

According to the error message, it seems that you have no enough permissions. Please make sure that you Run as administrator when running Skype for Business server Management shell.

KJSTech1 met a similar problem and after he tried to Run as administrator, this issue was resolved. The following image captured from his thread for reference:
