Retirement Announcement - Transition to Azure Machine Learning by 31 August 2024

Because Azure Machine Learning now provides rich, consolidated capabilities for model training and deploying, we'll retire the older Machine Learning Studio (classic) service on 31 August 2024. Please transition to using Azure Machine Learning by that date. If you have a question, please post it in this thread.

Hi,

I can check if i can still use Microsoft Machine Learning Studio (Classic) to create “new experiment” & “new web services” until Aug 2024?

Thanks!

@MaxKLCHUAITE-1746 Yes, you can use the same till Aug 2024 if you have already created a azure machine learning classic resource but beginning 1 December 2021, you will not be able to create new Machine Learning Studio (classic) resources from Azure portal.
Through 31 August 2024, you can continue to use the existing Machine Learning Studio (classic) resources.
ML Studio (classic) documentation is being retired and may not be updated in the future.

Just to clarify, I understand that new resources can't be created but if there is already a resource created an in-use are we still able to modify it after 1 December, or does it need to remain static? Just concerned that if something needs a minor tweak past that date if we need to migrate to the newer service first.

Hi, I have one more question about that Azure retirement. What I understand is existing users can still use create "new experiment" until Aug 2024 and new users can't create Azure ML classic workspace after 1st December 2021. The question is that "new users" means someone who has never log-in Azure ML classic or someone who uses Azure-ML classic service first.

"New users" are the ones who are trying to create the Classic workspace for the first time.
