SharePoint Migration Tool Errors or timeout for Server Processing the file:Failed to query the Azure Queue. Reason : [RequestTimeout] Client did not send a request within the time the server was expecting the request.

I'm using SharePoint Migration Tool to migrate data(PDFs and Folders) to SharePoint online. It was fine migrating data for some time. Now I am getting the below error while migrating the data from the Windows file server to SP Online.

Error: Errors or timeout for Server Processing the file: Failed to query the Azure Queue. Reason : [RequestTimeout] Client did not send a request within the time the server was expecting the request.

Please help us with this issue.

@KumarSarath-9780,

The issue will occure if we did not whitelist the the Azure Blob Storage URL's on our proxy.

SPMT packages the files and uploads to azure blob storage before it is ingested into SharePoint.

The URL that needs to be white listed (or bypass proxy entirely) is *.blob.core.windows.net.

Thank you for the reply. We have a folder(2013) and subfolders(Jan to Dec(12 Folders)) on the file server. The above issue was occurring when I migrate the complete 2013 folder in one go. As a workaround, I have tried to migrate three folders in one go. By doing this we did not get the above error and all the files migrated to SharePoint.

@JulieWang-MSFT,

I don't think the above solution is the right answer to the issue. I again tried migrating large documents from the server and now getting the same issue. If whitelist the Azure Blob Storage URL's on our proxy is the solution why is it working for limited documents and not for large documents?

Any other ways to fix this error?

@KumarSarath-9780,

In order to get a better forum experience, we changed your answer to a comment.

Per my research, there is little information about the error, as a workaround, please try to use Migration Manager instead of SPMT to migrate your file shares to Microsoft 365, then compare the results:
