Visual studio installer not opening

Hello,

Today I'm having issues opening Visual Studio Installer.
This prevents me from updating Visual Studio 2019 Enterprise to version 16.11.2.

When I double click the exe or run the update from VS, it simply does nothing.

This is my vslogs .

Thank you for your help

Hello again,

following the advices of VS Developer community, I looked into “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio” directory and I saw, together with the Installer folder, another folder called Installer.old.
I deleted the first one and renamed the “.old” one into “Installer” and then everything worked fine, I was able to update my VS again.
It seems that I had a corrupted version of the software but, luckily, an old one was being stored for backup purposes (I suppose).

Then I updated everything (VS Installer as well) and now everything is fine.

Thank you for your support.

Hello Peng,

thank you for your answer.

After your suggestion I contacted my IT admin in order to proceed with all pending windows updates.
The procedure took more than 3 hours, but it didn't resolve my issue.

I recreated and uploaded a new vslogs package, just to verify whether something has changed.
