Adding more information to the above response! Can you elaborate, please? What aspect of upload or download do your users want to limit?
Storage Explorer only uploads or downloads between Azure and the local machine.

Do you want to restrict the number of files that can be transferred? Do you want to restrict the number of bytes? Do you want to limit the speed of transfers?

No, Storage Explorer doesn't let you control that. That's really only something their systems admin can control, though that sounds like a very odd thing to limit.

These are the things Storage Explorer can control:

  • Max transfer rate (speed)

  • Number of concurrent network connections

  • Number of concurrent files being transferred


  • The maximum amount of memory used to buffer transfers
