WSL2 in Windows 10 1909

Question

Hello,

I would like to install WSL 2, but when I introduce wsl --set-default-version 2 in PowerShell, it doesn't recognize 'wsl'. I have read that it is because I must update my OS, but I have already updated it to versión 1909, so I don't understand what it could be.

OS data: Versión 1909 (compilation of OS 18363.959).

There is no new update available in Windows Update.

see What's New in WSL 2?
WSL 2 is only available in Windows 10, Version 2004, Build 19041 or higher. You may need to update your Windows version.

WSL2 is only available on Windows 10 2004 and higher version.
You need to continuously upgrading your system. Upgrade your Windows from here
I suggest to download media creation tool and use it to download ISO file for upgrade.

Hi there,

You might have an enterprise edition of Windows 10 which is what I have. These builds are generally a little behind, which is why you won't see an option to upgrade Windows any further. I too am waiting for WSL 2 to arrive on my work laptop!
