Best practices moving object computers

Hello,

I can't find good practices for moving computer objects into an Active Directory.

I would like to have official information on whether the machines should be turned off or on before moving the object. I ask the question because following that I already have them problems for example "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed" just after having moved the object.

Thank you for your information.

Shouldn't really matter. Seems unrelated. I'd check the general domain health is good and replication is functional.

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

There is no such requirement of moving AD objects to different OU or Group and you can move it to any type.

According to GPO settings applied to them they may need logoff and login again.
