getEmailActivityUserDetail(date=xxxx) was working but now is returning wrong values in UserPrincipal Identity

Question: This returns a CSV and this has a field called User Principal Name, Display Name. These fields are not returning the corect value. I have been using this for some time and now on the 29 of August I started getting non valid values such as this:

'User Principal Name': 'RDRT4382ED1753CBD3D8D5C2E4FEHTFR',
'Display Name': 'ZZZZ292D9B62ACE2BABCD2FD5DCADTRG'

It seems like this is related to a change from Microsoft to anonymize user data.

Check this page for instructions on how to enable the correct values in reports: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/privacy-changes-to-microsoft-365-usage-analytics/ba-p/2694137

Yes, this is right. Below is a screenshot on how to enable that.

It would be good to add somewhere this config in the method API documentation...or maybe an indicator in the result of the API saying that it has been de-identified so this helps to look for the answer-fix.... we have days trying to solve... THANKS!!!

This will make its way to the documentation.
