Microsoft Teams errored and won't let me log out?

Question

I am currently trying to log into my Teams account on my laptop, but have run into an issue.
Before I move on: this laptop is a personal laptop, and I am the administrator account. I am running the latest version of Windows 10.

I had previously attempted to sign into Teams on a different account which has is a Microsoft account but nothing with Teams. Now whenever I open up Teams, I get this page saying "We're sorry - we've run into an issue" and it does not present an error code at the bottom left.
It prompts to restart, or to log out. Restarting simply returns to the same issue, and I want to log out anyway. Pressing the log-out button simply does nothing. The link to log out highlights, but then nothing.

Could anyone let me know how I can get around this?

Edit: I have tried reinstalling Teams as well, but it remembers what my first login was and doesn't let me change, which leaves me back at square one.

To exclude the client issue, it firstly recommends you try to login to Teams web client to see if this issue can be reproduced. If there is no issue in Teams web client, then please try to follow these steps to clear your client cache file and restart Teams client:

1. Fully quit Microsoft Teams and ensure it’s not still running in the toolbar at the bottom right of Windows.
2. Navigate to %appdata%/Microsoft/Teams in a File Window.
3. Select everything in the folder.
4. Delete everything.
5. Open Teams and wait for it to download required files.

Had this problem too. I'm using a macbook. Removing the "Teams" folder would allow me to see what user I could login as, but then when I attempted to...it would still be the original incorrect credential. So go ahead and follow the steps that were provided earlier:

1. Stop Teams app
2. Using Finder, Go -> Go to Folder
3. "~/Library/Application Support"
4. Find the "Microsoft" folder
5. Delete the "Teams" folder
6. After that...use "Keychain Access" (I search for this using CMD+Spacebar)
7. Search for "Teams" in Keychain Access
8. Delete the "Microsoft Teams Identities Cache" item
9. Restart Teams App
