Microsoft Edge 설정관련 문의

Hello. I'd like to ask you if you have any questions about using the edge browser.

The Internet Explorer is scheduled to end on June 15 next year, and I understand that it will switch to Edge.

In this regard, I learned how to use it for the continuity of internal ActiveX use at the edge.

If you add a URL from "Settings - Default Browser - Internet Explorer Mode Page", you can use Active X like Explorer.

The usage period is set to 30 days.

Q1: Is there a way to apply it permanently without setting a 30-day period of use?
Q1-1 : If you can set it, I wonder how to apply it.

Please answer this question.

Hi @Yu-8595

You can continue to use ActiveX in Edge IE mode. Support for IE mode follows the lifecycle of current and future Windows client, Windows server, and Windows IoT releases (including Windows 11) at least through 2029.

You can enable IE mode in Edge for certain sites through group policy. It will be applied permanently as long as you don't change the policy. For the detailed steps, you can refer to Configure IE mode policies.

Hi @Yu-8595

The only way to apply it permanently is using IE mode policies.

You can refer to this doc to install Edge policy template if you're using Windows. Then refer to this doc to configure IE mode policies.

I suggest that you learn and try to set the policies according to the docs. The docs are very detailed, and you can do it step by step. If you encounter some difficulties, you can come back and ask for help.
