Azure File Sync agent will not synchronize file when adding file to Azure File Share on Azure portal

Azure File Sync agent will not synchronize the file when adding file to Azure File Share on Azure web portal

For example:
(1) Server1 and Server2 is in the SyncGroup1 with the path "D:\MyFolder\" sync to storage account Azure File Share "MyFolder"
(2) Add "File1.doc" to Azure File Share "MyFolder" on Azure web portal instead of on Server1/Server2
(3) "File1.doc" will never sync to Server1 or Server2

It will make the files not consistent between Azure File and Azure File Sync on-premise servers if someone try to manipulate (add, delete, move, replace) the files on Azure portal if the Azure File Share is working as Azure File Sync folder.

Is it expected behavior?
Thanks.

Thank you for your information.

I think it is better to block or show reminder when performing file manipulation on the Azure File Share directly when this share is synchronize with Azure File Sync since those files will not synchronize from Azure File Share to the server with Azure File Sync agent.

Hope to see if there is a feature to cater the synchronization from Azure File Share to the server with Azure File Sync agent in the future. It just work like restoring the file by Azure Backup of Azure File Share, it will synchronize the restored files to the server with Azure File Sync agent after restoring the data to Azure File Share.

Thanks.
