Hello

This is a common issue with versions of drivers and some Windows Updates. Usually the manufacturers and Windows release eventually their respective aligning fixes. Other option would be to remove the GPU driver and after reboot install a previous version of the driver.

In the meantime, I would recommend to apply the 3D settings "per game" basis, to avoid the drivers interfering with Windows environment. For example for Nvidia drivers:

Nvidia Control Panel>> Manage 3D settings >> (Globally)Image Sharpening [No Sharpening, no GPU scaling] ... apply
Nvidia Control Panel >> Manage 3D settings >> (Globally)Low Latency Mode [Disable] ....apply
You have to REBOOT after that.

Otherwise I would recommend to post a question in the Forum support of the card manufacturer to find a viable workaround until patches are released.

Hope this helps in your case,
Best regards,

i also am getting dwm.exe crashing during some games

it happened a lot during one game which i played in march of this year and it caused the game to alt tab on its own. back then i was on nvidia driver 461.72. after that i updated to 466.11 in april and i played another game and a bunch of times when i played the game the screen would become black for a bit and then the game resumed. the last dwm.exe crash i got was on mid may. after that i played a bunch of games on that same driver between mid may and today and dwm.exe didnt crash and then suddenly it crashed in one game

is the driver causing issues in the game and that makes dwm.exe crash?

should i do the modifications in the 3d settings of nvidia that you mentioned?
