Azure: switching from Startups to a paid subscription

Hello,

my client at the moment is running their production environment on an Azure "Microsoft For Startups" subscription. Shortly it will be switched to a paid subscription. My question is: what happen when the "day arrived"? The subscription will keep working normally or it will be terminated? Should we migrate all the resources to another one? Thanks for your time
Regards,

Hello @EnnioBolondi-2350 - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A community forum!

We strongly advise you moving to Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) or Enterprise Agreement (EA) if MCA isn't available as this is the most seamless way.

If you go to PAYG (credit card) then a couple of bad things can happen:
• all quotas get reset to defaults. This means if you asked for extra cores or different regions these will be shutdown. You can reapply for the quota as soon as you move from credits, but this may take time
• if the credit card is invalid that's on file then as soon as the first payment is due to happen you'll get everything terminated.

Hope this helps!
