Intune Update Compliance Script

Hi,

Does anyone have details on how to deploy the Update Compliance script in Intune as a Win32app? There is a lot of data about the script and so on but nothing showing how it has been created on Intune and deployed. I know how to create a Win32App but what is needed for the detection section and so on for this or how are the rest of you deploying this script.

We have issues with machines that show compliance for security updates and it looks like they are getting security updates but our compliance on Quality updates is shocking and just shows "Not Up-to-date"

We also find that if we query data from the WaasupdateStatus and WaasDeploymentStatus tables some devices are just not there even though we can see them in Intune and Azure and they are active.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Leon

Have you configured Update Compliance already on your devices without using the script (as using the script isn't specifically required)?

Hi Jason,

Yes, I have configured Update Compliance already, I was just thinking of implementing this as an extra measure because if the issue we are experiencing where our security update compliance is showing perfectly but our Quality Update compliance is really bad.

The script won't change that though -- the script simply ensures that the device is configured to report to Update Compliance.

You need to troubleshoot why devices aren't properly pulling quality updates. This will be tedious, but you can start with the reports in Update Compliance and you will most likely have to examine individual devices as well.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the reply, I know the fault-finding is going to be a bit of a tedious process.
