Sharepoint online content management

My team is migrating to Sharepoint Online. Post migration, it is important that users properly share content while preventing having broken links. For example, we have a site with an image tag not rendering, here is the source of the image-- https://modernb.akamai.odsp.cdn.office.net/files/sp-client/image_background_stockImage_9fe1b89a.png

There are several potential reasons for it. Ideally, if there is list of Do's and Dont's as to how to share content that users can avail while creating their sites. Thank you

I want to confirm some information.

Whether you want to know how to share contents in the SharePoint Online list? And Do's and Dont's when sharing contents in the SharePoint Online list?

Hi Emily, thank you for getting back to me. Yes, as a user with permissions to add content to their Sharepoint online, this user may not be aware of what could cause a link to break. Since the migration started, the users have had training, however, I notice that there are 404 errors or broken image tags in some of the websites. The group owns about 70 different sub sites, hence there is great potential that a new user may add/modify content and could do it in such a way that will lead to broken links. Ideally, if Microsoft has gone through the painstaking exercise of narrowing down what actions could cause broken links, such documentation would go the extra mile for our team.

In my opinion, broken links may be caused by the migration from SharePoint Server to Online.

Per my research, there is no evidence or Microsoft documentation indicates the reason why broken links in the SharePoint Online.

In the normal situation, add, modify, share contents will not cause broken links.
