I can not access my account authenticator

Hello I found myself in an eternal loop

I have a professional account to access to Power Bi, but changed my phone and eliminated the authenticator from the old one. When try to access to my account they request:
Codes or approval in authenticator, but can not install again the account in authenticator because this is requesting the same. So I am unable to do that because the Authenticator hasn't been set up yet. There is no option to send a text message or receive a call.

If I try to enter https://aka.ms/MFASetup. or https://portal.office.com/account/#security they request the account. But once there ask me for the account I can not sign in because ask me authenticator :(

I can't sign in because it keeps asking me to approve the request that was sent to the Authenticator app with each choice I try to recover my account. Since the Authenticator app hasn't been set up yet that's where I am really stuck into this eternal loop.

Can you help me to break it and can recover my account.

Thanks.

Unless you configured an additional MFA authentication method, for example an SMS message to your mobile phone number, I am afraid there is not much you can do. Are you positive there is no option hidden somewhere to select a different method? Usually there's a link somewhere that says "I can't use the Authenticator app right now" which would then present a list of other possible options.

Same issue. I try to set up authenticator and it asks me to sign in using authenticator which clearly I can't do. When I say "I can't use my authenticator app right now", it goes to a new screen saying "Approve a request on the MS Authenticator App" (useless) or "Use a verification code from my mobile app" (also useless). I simply can't log on and there is no way out.

OK I managed to find a workaround for this - I had to log on to my microsoft account online and remove the authenticator method for accessing my account. I then changed it to authenticate by sending me an SMS. Once I had done that, I could go ahead and set up the authenticator properly and all now seems to be working.

How did you access your Microsoft account without the authenticator? I get the same request regardless of where I want to sign into. Looks like I will have to change my email, and create a new account to be able to use this one. :(
