Hi.

We have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with two vNICS; one on the Public Subnet with internet access and the other vNIC on the Private Subnet for Application and database access.

We have two categories of clients to access this server. The first category of clients need the NAT to access the application running on the server's private Subnet. And the second category of clients who access the server with RDP to administer the server.

Scenario 1: We activate and configure both the VPN and NAT Roles:

  • For the first category of clients we configure the NAT services and is working fine.
  • The second category of clients are able to connect via VPN and they get the correct IP Address etc. however they are not able to access the server via RDP with its local IP on the Public VCN Segment.

Scenario 2: We Activate either the VPN or the NAT roles exclusively.

  • If we activate and configure only NAT - its working fine and the first category clients are able to access the App published on the Private Subnet.
  • If we activate and configure only VPN - its working fine and the second category clients are able to connect via VPN and able to access the server via RDP on its Local IP.

So we need support to make sure that the Scenario 1 works addressing the needs of both categories of clients.

If you want to have a remote session please inform me so that we can program for that. I am available from 8AM to 10 PM Colombia Time. (UTP -5:00)

Thanks.
