Let me start by saying that I am a report writer and not a SP Admin or SQL Server Admin or anything like that, so some of what I ask or say may seem like sheer ignorance. Please forgive.
We are currently moving all of our SSRS reports from a SP integrated installation to a Native installation. We have hundreds of reports and the number is growing all the time. In SP mode, the list that is created can be filtered and sorted, I can create my own views and tailor what I see to suit my needs for managing my many reports.
In Native Mode, there is nothing like that. It is just one giant list. Is that really the best that we can do? I have been offered my own folder, but that seems like a very rudimentary way to solve this problem and I will still not be able to create any kind of view or custom list.
How do others solve this problem? Is there a way to populate a SP list based on this portal? I find it hard to believe that I am the only one who thinks this is a terrible oversight by MS. There has to be some other way to efficiently manage a huge list reports.
