Individual user purview access

Hi Team,

I am actually trying to understand if we have a team specific purview account setup and would like to only give certain access(read, limited number of servers or database access) to rest of the team members what would be the procedure behind the MSI assignment.

Can anyone help me with this info at the earliest?

Thank You

Hello @Reddy07-8023 and welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

In Azure Purview, permissions can be assigned to individual users, or to groups.
Access is applied on a per Collection basis. A Collection is a grouping of resources such as servers. A Collection can contain other Collections. In this fashion access can be inherited by giving permission on a parent Collection.

Groups are created in Azure Active Directory.

Thank You Martin for the response. I will try the above and see if this works for me.
