Windoes 10 Home Edition Update Failure

My Windows 10 Home edition (version 1803) is failing to update the cumulative update for 1803.
I have gone through all other related threads and tried what they said but still no luck.

When I test the SetupDiag it says
Error: SetupDiag reports rollback failure found.
Last Phase = Safe OS
Last Operation = Complete file operations for offline portion of first and oobe boot apply
Error = 0x80070011-0x2000D

Refer to "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/Debug/system-error-codes" for error information.

Last Setup Phase:

Phase Ended: 01-Jan-01 12:00:00 AM

Completed Successfully? False

I don't have a Windows.old in my D drive

my C drive already have C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\edb.chk
not sure why its trying to copy from D drive where I dont have a Windows.old folder.

Any Help in this would be much appreciated
Thanks
Nedums

Hello @NedumsNedumaran-6302,

Here are some things you can try to fix upgrade and installation errors:

Remove external hardware
Update Windows
Uninstall non-Microsoft antivirus software
Uninstall nonessential software
Free up disk space

Try windows update troubleshooter, using the below link, to overcome old drive issues and windows update

@LimitlessTechnology-2700 Thanks For you Reply

I manage to find the issue.
In my case ProgramData folder has been moved from C to D drive hence updates failed

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-server/user-profiles-and-logon/relocation-of-users-and-programdata-directories

I have moved it back to C drive and change the registry key to point back to c drive (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ProgramData)

after that all worked

Thanks for your help.
