Hi,
We are trying to push out windows 10 upgrade to machines at a remote site. This site does not have its own distribution point, so the clients either contact the main distribution point or the distribution point at its neighboring site (JRZ). However, the upgrade failed. Looking at the smsts.log, there are a lot of errors. I just do not know which errors are the main ones to go after. So I am trying to TS the connection issue.

From the log, the client trying to connect to the neighbor's DP but failed with default account

>Unsuccessful in connecting to or accessing \jrz-dstpt1\smspkge$\pla0000e\ with default account.

Then it tried to connect with network access account, but also failed.

I am trying to TS this error, but I am not sure where to start. Does that mean, there is permission issue on the neighbor's DP? How can I verify that the client can connect to the smspkge$?

Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi @MinaTran-2950,

According to the information, error code 0x80070002 could be interpreted as a network error wherein during the OSD the necessary files are not accessible by the computer where the operating system is being deployed. To configure the Network Access Account, open the console, click on Administration, expand Overview, expand Site Configuration, click Sites, on the top ribbon click Configure Site Components, click Software Distribution.

Here is the screenshot we could refer to:

Just wanted to update the status. Setting up a DP for the remote site resolved the issue.
