Manual Proxy Video Playback

Hi,

We have a number of computers that we want to lock down to certain training websites. We created a manual proxy with an address of 127.0.0.1 port 80 and added exceptions to the sites allowed to visit. All works fine until we found that videos displayed on a site cannot be viewed. One of the training sites has links to videos on YouTube. If I try to go to one, the video is just black.

I tried to add youtube.com to my list of exceptions with no help. I can navigate to youtube.com and see all of the words / descriptions of the videos but not the videos themselves.

Any idea why enabling the proxy would prevent this? And is there a way to get around?

We are using Windows 10 on these computers.

    1. Please try access YouTube from different Browsers and with Private or Incognito mode.
    2. Playing YouTube video may required additional domains or websites to be whitelisted.

    For example,
