Please help me identify the tasks that I need to do or considerations to be taken into account when trying to generate a .DBF file out of a Talend Job.
My name is Louis Cortina. I can be reached at, 1-847-550-7355 (x8083).
I’m an ETL Developer currently employed at Dovenmuehle, Inc. in Lake Zurich, Illinois, and I’m having the below ‘Not a table (Error 15)’ issue when attempting to create a .DBF file out of a Talend Job.
Please consider these questions:
1) I’m trying to create a .DBF file that should be able to be read by,
Microsoft Visual FoxPro 8.0 Copyright @1988-2002 ... (Version: 08.00.0000.2521) Product ID: 55181-270-1507393-03587
However, I’m getting the below listed error when trying to open the file (with MS FoxPro 8.0). So, my question is this:
Are there any considerations to be taken into account, with regards to the header portion of a .DBF file, when creating it?
2) Is it advisable to create a .DBF file outside of Foxpro (i.e. – As in this case, generate it out of a Talend Job)?
3) I had googled and found some documentation on how to ‘fix’ the corrupted file, etc., but unfortunately that didn’t work…
Considering the below error, are there any other instructions that I could follow (and or provide to my user(s)) to be able to ‘fix’ the file and open it with FoxPro?
Thank You Very Much for your assistance.
