Export Teams content

Hi,

Our organization has more than 5000 licensed users. All of them more or less uses Teams. As our organization is expecting some internal policy changes that affects Teams in some nuances, few users has asked whether it is possible to export content from Teams chats, meetings and groups. By content they mean everything - messages, pictures, files, etc.

I haven't found anything useful from Microsoft, except this documentation, but it looks like there is no any other solution from Microsoft in this case. This documentation is intended only for Teams personal, so this option falls away.

So I came here for some tips and tricks to achieve what those few users has asked. They want to export content even older than six months. If there is no any way we can do this with Microsoft provides tools, maybe there is some third-party services or apps that can do this?

Thanks!

Hi @TomassPetersons

As you said above, Microsoft do not provide direct tools to export all teams data. The following document show the ways of export Teams data for your reference:

Either that, or run eDiscovery/Content search. There are some third-party tools that do an export, either via the API or by rendering the page content... you can look them up online.
