There are many companies that still have critical data assets stored in SharePoints lists, however there is no SharePoint List Connector in Azure Purview. In order to get SharePoint List data assets into Purview, various workarounds need to be implemented. This is a big gap for a current customer and is pushing them toward a competitor's product.

Can we get a SharePoint List connector added to the backlog for Azure Purview?

    Hello @Angela Henry ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Unfortunately, SharePoint list connector data source is not supported.

Azure Purview supports the following data stores. Click each data store to learn the supported capabilities and the corresponding configurations in details.

For more details, refer to Azure Purview - Supported data stores.

As you know Azure Purview is currently in PREVIEW and we have been adding new data sources every month.

Regarding service general availability, I would suggest to keep an eye on Azure updates.

Azure updates provide information about important Azure product updates, roadmap, and announcements.

Once SharePoint List connector available, I will update the answer. Stay tuned!

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
