unable to switch from local account to microsoft account

I am unable to switch from local account to Microsoft account. It doesn't show up in windows 10 under settings- accounts-your info. Any suggestions. I am a Microsoft partner but can't get help for this problem unless I want to pay money or they have a cloud service which they do not. Would appreciate the help.

    Hi ,

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    The quickest solution will be to run command " netplwiz" and Choose Add and enter the email account you use for your Microsoft account.

    Is there any link with text 'Sign in with a Microsoft account' at Settings> Accounts > Your info?
