issue with intune install and uninstall

I work at a college in the IT department need some help, trying to install some software with intune. We have over 350 laptops on campus that need the updated software. I have followed the intune instructions on setting up the program; I need to uninstall the old software and install the new one in its place, but when we look into intune we getting an error that says there is a failure (App installation failed). I can't figure out what the issue is. Here is a snapshot of the information. 132422-lockdown.jpg

@DerrickGordon-3863 Thanks for posting in our Q&A. From your description, did you mean that you want to uninstall the old version and install the new version application? If there is anything misunderstanding, feel free to let us know.

To clarify this issue, we appreciate your help to collect some information:
1.Have you uninstalled the old version application?
2.Please make sure the install command is silent command.
3.Please check if there is any error message in IME log under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs

If there is anything update, feel free to let us know.

Thank you for the response, and I appreciate it. Yes, we are trying to publish this software to over 300 devices, so to answer your questions, we want to uninstall the old version and reinstall the new version while using MDM intune. We can uninstall the old version manually, but that will take some time. We have published the .intunewin file, but we are getting errors that the app didn't install. We are still trying to figure out the install and uninstall commands, and we have to use the run silent control but still having an issue. We are about to give up on this and do it the old fashion way, but with systems on and off the campus figure, the best way is Microsoft Itune.

I would try running those commands on your machine to ensure they work first, for both the install and uninstall commands.
To uninstall, I personally include the required files used to install, so you're not having to rely on any other local files being replicated or present.

Why is the installer lockdown running from c:\temp? What all have you wrapped in the win32 app? Also, does the lockdown installer run properly with /s that you have included in the command line?
