Can I share copies of PDF's with Microsoft Teams?

On Google Classroom I was able to share copies of PDF's with my students that they could edit. Is this possible on Microsoft Teams? When I add a Excel Sheet, or Word Document Etc I can select let students edit their own copy. But not with PDFs

No, co-authoring is not supported for PDF. It works on a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation. The following image captured from this article shows more information about co-authoring:
