Hello, I have a question, I state I do not chew much on a systemic level.

I have a network folder A. in advanced sharing I have given read-only authorization to a user, in safety only viewing folder contents from modification and not advanced. and so the user accesses.

first problem: it sees all the files in the folder and subfolders and can open them but MUST NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN ANY FILE OTHER THAN THOSE CONTAINED IN THE FOLDER X how do I do it?

then if I try to give the change sharing permissions to the subfolder x and safely as well, the user fails because obviously he takes the authorization of the parent folder.

how do I make the user 1 enter the parent folder A and 2 then be able to access only the x folder and make any changes he wants, but not be able to access the other sub-folders and not be able to open any file that is not contained in folder x?

I guess I have to work on disabling inheritance but I wouldn't want to do any damage and so I ask the file server experts

thank you

use the enumeration access base, after you enable the enumeration option he can't see the folder that not have access to theme. here is the link show you how to enable enumeration option step by step
