Adding addiitonal accounts to OneDrive broken after iOS 11.6 update

After the iOS update to 11.6, OneDrive for Mac quits whenever one attempts to add another account via Preferences > Account > Add Account. I have seen some reporting that it is doing the same thing with accounts that use two factor authentication. What I can confirm is that it is happening with my business accounts.

Consider the following description of the app's issue: https://twitter.com/dwyer2008/status/1437936643621654537

Looking for any information re: a fix to be able to add a business/school account. TIA

    Hi @Chris ,
Did you know the version number of OneDrive you're using?
I suggest you try 2 methods to help you test this problem:

    1. install the latest updates for OneDrive and check if you can add the new account.
    2. remove OneDrive from Mac and re-install the initial version and check test the result.

Test these 2 methods and we can confirm if this problem is related to iOS update or OneDrive updates.
Any updates please let me know and I'm glad to help you.
