I have the windows10 home, version 21H1, OS Build 19043.1237 with all updates installed.
I am the only user and the only person that has an account.
Since last Wednesday the system started stalling and even freezing from time to time. Event Viewer gives warnings of source ESENT, Event ID 508, 510,533,
of possible hardware failure ( it takes abnormally long time to write to WebCacheV01). I have ran Windows defender full scan that didn't show anything,
same with (sfc /scannow), (defrag), and (chkdsk), they didn't help at all. Today when I turned the PC on it took several minutes to load the OS plus I hear
a strange clicking sound coming from the hardware. Is it possible that a ten year old hard disk drive is damaged ?
Is it possible there is another reason? I use the machine for programming and that stopped me for all this time, cause its kind of impossible to work, not to mention
I must do something before HDD breaks down for good.
Does anybody have any suggestion?
