Why can't I download anything on my virtual machine?

Question

I already did the disable something which allowed me to download Chrome from internet explorer. However, now I’m trying to download python from the Microsoft store and everythime I click the “Get” button it does nothing.

Something similar happened when I tried to download a file from my DropBox but after I disconnected from the vm and reconnected, the file was there in my downloads like 12 times.

Now I’m trying to download Python from the internet instead of the Microsoft Store and when I reach the final stage of the setup process, they’re saying it can’t be completed because of something with the admin blah blah. Almost as if there is some sort of parental control on.

I want to know how to disable all these annoying sh*t so I can use the VM fully. Right now there’s a restriction on EVERYTHING. I managed to lift some of them. Please tell me how to solve the issues listed above especially the last one. I would love to attach an image but I’m on my phone so I’m not sure how to do that.

Hi there,

To download Phyton from IE you can try this, disabling the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security

Go to the Start menu and click on the box that says Server Manager

On the Server Manager’s dashboard, click on Local Server and then click on IE Enhanced Security Configuration option

Turn it off for Administrator and User

But I did disable Internet Explorer’s super ultra mega advanced hyper security. I got past that stage but it feels like there are admin controls elsewhere. Here I was thinking I was the admin
