We were previously using Data Export Services to export tables from Dataverse to a Azure SQL database for reporting purposes. Since this tool has been depreciated, we are looking into Data Factory. The limitation we have come across is exporting choice fields and the related text labels over to Azure SQL database. Do you have any recommendations? If not, we will need to consider using a third party tool which we are hoping to avoid.

    Hi @SLS Hughes ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for posting your query here.

You can consider exporting data from Dataverse to Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 with Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse, you can use Azure Data Factory to create a pipeline that copies data from the data lake to Azure SQL.

Please Note: Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse was formerly known as Export to data lake. The service was renamed effective May 2021 and will continue to export data to Azure Data Lake as well as Azure Synapse Analytics.

Could you please check below documentation link to better understanding on steps to follow

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
