Cannot Bypass BitLocker

I am trying to unlock bitlocker on my computer.

This isn't something that I set-up and I have never seen this before. This screen appeared after doing computer updates.

The key is not in my Microsoft account and this computer is not linked or should not be linked to any corporate group settings - as this is my personal computer. When I follow the instructions to obtain my key, I am redirected to my employers microsoft account. I have reached out to IT and they said that there is no device associated with my credentials and they don't use bitlocker.

I don't want to format my hard drives. Please help!

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is impossible to unlock your hard drive without your BitLocker key.
I advise you to look at all your Microsoft accounts if a key is stored at this link https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey?refd=support.microsoft.com

Hi @QuinHicks-6948

If you cannot find the Bit locker key in all accounts and if it is not connected to any organization. the only option would be to Disable the secure boot in BIOS or clean install the PC.

Open the PC BIOS menu. You can often access this menu by pressing a key during the bootup sequence, such as F1, F2, F12, or Esc.

Or, from Windows, hold the Shift key while selecting Restart. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options: UEFI Firmware Settings.

Find the Secure Boot setting, and if possible, set it to Disabled. This option is usually in either the Security tab, the Boot tab, or the Authentication tab.

Save changes and exit. The PC reboots.
