Dynamics 365 On-Premise using Outlook App, not Outlook client, Server-side sync and automatic processing of inboun emails

Question

I am using Dynamics 365 on premise with server-side sync instead of the Outlook client and the Outlook App. I have users who want to only track certain emails through the app but not have all inbound emails tracked automatically. Can this automatic inbound tracking be removed but still leave the App functional for tracking?
