Computer needs to be reset after a period of time

We have Windows 10 on our desktop, and it stays on. We have a screen saver, but after a period of time the screen saver is lost and not working. We are able to come right back by simply signing out and signing back in. It is not necessary to turn off the computer, just signing out and back in. I have tried installing other screen savers and other items to no avail. I have a dual screen, if that makes a difference.
