"NSG" 와 게스트 OS 방화벽의 관계가 궁금합니다.
I'm curious about the relationship between "NSG" and the guest OS firewall.
Do they work together?
@minsangyoo-6409 , Both NSG and OS Firewall has similar functionalities while dealing with Traffic flow. But here is the difference depending upon their environmental existence,
1. NSG: This can be applied on top of VNET subnets and NIC's of the VM. Also, the same NSG can be applied to as many subnets and NIC's you choose.
2.Guest OS Firewall: This is specific to an OS where it must have all I/O rules mentioned on its NSG else it will block the traffic. For example, allowing RDP on a VM NSG also need the RDP port open in VM guest OS firewall.
