Hi,

Follow this Troubleshoot connecting guide. It will take you step by step:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/troubleshoot-common-errors-issues

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/troubleshoot-connecting-to-the-sql-server-database-engine?view=sql-server-ver15

In the meantime and on the same time:

Most common issue is probably in the connection string. Please mask (use something like <here come password> ) the sensitive information and provide the connection string which you are using.

I am easily connecting to it from MYSQL Workbench but not being able to create an ODBC connection. The following are the steps I am following:

  1. 136454-capture.png

  2. Then I am selecting "With SQL Server Authentication..." and I am providing my root user name and password.

My best guess is that it is an authentication error. I have not configured any Azure active directory user on this server, can it be caused by that?
Is there any explaination of the other authication methods so that I can try them out.
