Clarification needed on hardware re-submission

I've submitted our signed driver package 7 years ago. The EV code signing certificate I used for signing the same has been expired. I bought a new EV code signing certificate now. Should I sign the driver with the new certificate and submit again for approval.
Your help is much appreciated on this.
