How to create a SharePoint Site Group when a field is populated via workflow

I need to create a Site Group and assign site permission to that group when a field is populated. Ex: CustomerGrp is populated with "UserGroupName22", I need the workflow to kick off when form submitted to create the Site Group "UserGroupName22" and assign read permissions to the whole site. Is there a way to user Designer to build this workflow?

Hi @FrankCollazo-2872,

As far as I know it is not available to create a SharePoint group via workflow without development. So we are not able to create SharePoint group with SharePoint Designer.

From this blog, you could create a custom workflow activity in Visual Studio 2012 with REST API to create a new SharePoint group.

For Reference: Custom Workflow Activity for Creating a SharePoint Group
